What is the best swimming hole in Sedona?

Slide Rock State Park is the most popular, but Grasshopper Point and Red Rock Crossing are often considered the best overall for swimming and scenery.

    Are Sedona swimming holes free?

Some are free, but many require a Red Rock Pass or a state park fee, especially at Slide Rock.

Yes, Oak Creek is generally safe for swimming. However, always be cautious of slippery rocks, strong currents after rain, and changing water levels.

Where can you cliff jump in Sedona?

Grasshopper Point and The Crack at Wet Beaver Creek are the most popular cliff jumping spots. Always check water depth before jumping.

Are dogs allowed at Sedona swimming holes?

    • Sunscreen
    • Water shoes
    • Towel

    • If there are provided toilets, USE THEM! Think about it, if you're grossed out by public toilets, there's probably a lot of other people who are too. So if you all decide to go outside of the provided toilets, everyone will be swimming in very toxic water! And yes, swimming in Oak Creek does get shut down for this reason. Eeew!
    • If there are not toilets provided, go here to learn the proper etiquette for going the bathroom in nature properly. Note that the minimum distance from the water is 200ft!
