CAMP VERDE
Clear Creek Winery
Ignacio and Sue Mesa have been harvesting grapes and making wine in Camp Verde for 10 years under their Rio Claro label. In 2016, they finally opened their much-anticipated, Spanish Mission-style tasting room. The Mesas use 100 percent estate-grown grapes and Ignacio personally makes each bottle of Rhône, Bordeaux and Spanish varietals, along with a selection of Ports.
Salt Mine Wine
Family-owned vineyard and winery since 2013. The Norton family selected a historic farm site as a future vineyard and winery. Over the next three years, planted five acres of grapes compatible with our growing season, soils and micro climate. Today, nestled in among pecan groves, pastures, small farms and roadside produce stands they specialize in growing Italian varietals such as Malvasia Bianca and Sangiovese.
Alcantara Vineyard
You’ll find Alcantara Vineyards has over 20,000 vines and offers 17 different varietals. While you sip wine and enjoy the peaceful surroundings, which include vineyards, a grass picnic area, the Verde River and bald eagles flying overhead. Their tasting room offers a relaxed and fun setting with over a dozen different wines to try daily. They serve white, red, and rosé wines. Their large dog-friendly patio has panoramic views of the Verde Valley and can accommodate larger groups. Their 4,000 case winery is also located on-site and is viewable in our tasting room. They also offer a charcuterie plate with meats, cheeses, fresh and dried fruit, nuts and crackers served in a bento box.

Our tour to four wineries will be either in a luxury tour coach or in a luxury SUV depending on the size of the group going out that day. You may choose to enjoy tastings or bottles of award-winning wines. You will receive discounts for tastings and bottles of wine, at some of the wineries. Also, we are the only tour company that allows you to bring your own alcoholic (or nonalcoholic) beverages with you on the bus. At one of the wineries, we will have a picnic, outside next to the grapevines or inside depending on the weather. The picnic is served on linens, includes a personal charcuterie board. This includes French bread, gourmet cheeses, hard salami, olive oil with balsamic vinegar, grapes, nuts, and chocolates, for each individual person on the tour. At one of the award-winning wineries, we will be touring the production facility and barrel room. There we will discuss the wine-making process and what it takes to make a cluster of grapes into an award-winning bottle of wine.
