McLean Meditation Center
Do you meditate? If you want to feel happier, more peaceful, and more fulfilled, meditation practice can help. Not only will you feel really good, you’ll have a defense against the mental, physical, and emotional stresses inherent in our world today.
For those new to meditation, there’s a Sunday introduction to mindfulness and meditation program held weekly from 2:00 -3:00 pm. It’s only $5. Come and find out about meditation, learn what mindfulness is, and experience a guided practice. Those who already have a practice are invited to attend a daily 45-minute silent meditation session, free of charge. Check the website for times.
Even if you are someone whose mind goes a thousand miles a minute, you too can get the benefits. The highly trained meditation teachers will show you how. No, you don’t have to sit cross-legged on the floor, no you don’t have to stop thinking, and no you don’t have to change your religious beliefs. All you need to meditate is the willingness to give it a try. (Plus you can sit in a chair!)
Private instruction is available for individuals or groups, too. There are also weekend meditation retreats such as the Creative Soul Retreat and the Radiance Retreat. For those who want to bring increased clarity, innovation, and efficiency to the workplace, there’s the Mindfulness@Work training, and for those who want to become a meditation and mindfulness teacher, there is the international Meditation Teacher Academy®. The McLean Meditation Institute has been serving the community of Sedona since 2012 and welcomes everyone .They teach meditation techniques, rather than traditions, and is not affiliated with any religion or sect.
