Stakes & Sticks Sports Bar Makes Maine Lobster the Main Event
Stakes & Sticks Sports Bar and Celebrity Grill is best known for being the behemoth sports bar of the region, specializing in premium drinks and the best prime rib in Sedona and the Verde Valley, but it looks as if they're fishing for even bigger and better deals. By the looks of things, they've cast a line and caught the most amazing special that they're proud to pass on to their patrons.
Every Friday and Saturday night, beginning September 18, Stakes & Sticks is featuring LOBSTERPALOOZA, an event sure to tantalize taste buds hungry for coastal cuisine. Lobsterpalooza features a one pound baked potato and Red Rock Springs vegetables with a Whole Maine Lobster as the headliner, all for $19.95 per person or two for only $36. This is a deal you'll want to sink your claws into, then of course, your mouth. Bibs, free of charge! Again, that's $19.95 per person or $36 for two, Friday and Saturday! For more information, contact Stakes & Sticks Sports Bar General Manager Melissa Manier at 204-STIX.
Red Rock Fantasy Festival
November 19 to January 02
Red Rock Fantasy is a festival of more than a million lights providing a man-made marvel nestled within the world-renowned red rocks of Sedona. Boasting over 30 displays created by families throughout the Southwest, the festival promises never-before-seen marvels of light that leave children in wonderment and move adult minds to enjoy the holidays as they did when they were young. That’s the magic that has made Red Rock Fantasy a favorite among Arizonans and visitors to the state alike.
In its nineteenth year, Red Rock Fantasy will be better than ever hosting a variety of kids’ activities, concerts, carriage rides, and special events. But children and visitors are not, however, the only ones who are touched by Red Rock Fantasy. The event benefits its hometown, local charities, and dozens of families each year. Proceeds from the event have been earmarked for charity since its inception, providing tens of thousands of dollars to dozens of organizations, regional agencies, nonprofits and schools. And, each year, Los Abrigados hosts approximately 100 children from the Phoenix Boys & Girls Club for a fun overnight that includes a visit from Santa.
The "Lights On Ceremony" for the 18th Annual Red Rock Fantasy will take place this year at 5 p.m., on Thursday, November 19. The event will last through the New Year, ending with "Lights Out" on January 2, 2010.
The festival is open each evening (weather permitting) from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m., on Fridays and Saturdays and 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., Sunday through Thursday. Admission has been reduced to $5 for adults, $4 for seniors, $2 for children aged 4-12, and is complimentary for children 3 and under.
