August 21st - Heavenly J's perform at Tlaquepaque to Celebrate The Red Rock Road

The Heavenly J's, a rock opera, will perform at Tlaquepaque in Plaza de la Fuente from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm on Saturday, August 21st. Experience the incarnations of Janis Joplin, Jim Morrison, Jerry Garcia, Jimi Hendrix, James Brown, John Lennon, Johnny Cash, John Denver, Jim Croce, and other special guest appearances. If you like classic rock music from the 60's, you can't miss this event - it will give you a flashback that just might send you back to Woodstock.
This is a rock show guaranteed to rock your soul. Nobody will be sitting when James Brown is done with GET UP so get your tickets as soon as possible. This production is part of the completion of the Red Rock Road - SR 179. It's finally finished - come celebrate!
Hula Dancing With Jaynel: Hips and Healing, Motion and Emotion

Saturday, August 28 from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., Jaynel Keliikuli will conduct a Hula Dancing Workshop for those interested in cultural dance and an exciting healing art form at the Sedona Creative Life Center, located in the Sedona Room at 333 Schnebly Road .
Keliikuli is a Native Hawaiian who comes from a gifted family of Kahunas with a rich history in healing. Being a true descendant in a lineage of physical, spiritual and energy doctors of ancient Hawaiian culture, she felt the desire to combine her knowledge of historical healing with further studies and a degree in psychology from the University of Hawaii, West Oahu.
Keliikuli is the Head Dahn Yoga Instructor at the Sedona Mago Healing Center. She performs and practices hula out of respect for her culture and a way to connect mind, body and spirit. To Keliikuli, hula is not only fun, it's healing.

Raw and Vegan Food Potluck: Meet at Mago Healing Center for Mighty Healthy Meeting

Meet healthy conscious people at Mago Healing Center in Uptown Sedona for the Inaugural Sedona Raw/Vegan Food Potluck Gathering.
"Despite the name of the event, interested people don't have to be Raw Foodies or Vegans," says Banyan Lim, Healer and General Manager of BR Clinic. "This gathering is for anyone who is interested in eating healthy foods and sharing healthy lifestyles."
According to Lim, the concept is simple; like-minded people bring one or more healthy items to the Mago Healing Center—located at 340 Jordan Road—where they not only share favorite foods, but learn about different ways people take care of their body, mind and soul.
"The event begins at 11 a.m. and runs until the food is gone," Lim says. "One can expect to meet great people, eat great food and relax in a comfortable environment. You might even want to bring a pillow to sit down on the floor and relax."
